Laid once,
protected for years.
Oil and hydro-chemical pipelines, reservoirs and the corrosion control that decides how long either of them lasts. Led by a COREN-registered chemical engineer.
What this scope
actually includes.
Anyone can lay a pipe.
Corrosion decides the life of the line
Laying a pipe is the straightforward part. What determines whether it is still serviceable in fifteen years is how the steel was prepared, what it was coated with, and whether the protection suits the medium and the soil. That is a chemistry problem before it is a construction one.
The qualification behind it
Donkem’s work in this scope is led by a chemical engineer registered with the Council for the Regulation of Engineering in Nigeria, registration R.54,028. The registration is held by the engineer personally, as COREN registration always is.
Testing is not optional
A line is tested before it is handed over, and the result is written down. On our sites heavy plant is load-certified before it is operated and no schedule is accelerated at the cost of safety. The same discipline applies to a pressure test.
Cleared to bid.
Four things get asked before a pipeline contract is awarded to anybody. These are ours.
Before they commit.
Is Donkem COREN registered?
A company is not COREN registered; engineers are. Donkem has a COREN-registered chemical engineer on the team, registration R.54,028, and this scope is led by him. Any contractor telling you the firm itself holds COREN registration is describing something that does not exist.
Where can I see completed pipeline work?
The project record published on this site covers buildings and civil works. The pipeline and reservoir record is not published here. If this is the scope you are tendering, ask the office and it will be provided directly, along with references.
Do you hire in plant for pipeline work?
No. The pumping machines, compressors, trucks and generators used on this scope are on Donkem’s own plant register. It is why a programme does not slip because a hire company was busy elsewhere.
What happens to land along the route?
It is made good. Roads, houses and farmland disturbed by our operations are reinstated, and compensation runs beyond cash to repairs, replacement, relief supplies and free treatment where it is needed.
Most jobs need
more than one.
Talk to the people
who will build it.
Send the brief and we will price it, or reach the office directly. Either way you hear back within one business day.
