Site Safety Protocol
01Hard hats, safety boots and goggles are mandatory on every site.
02Every injury is treated on-site, regardless of severity.
03Heavy plant is tested and load-certified before operation.
04Marked fire exits and fire-fighting equipment are kept clear at every site.
05No unsafe acceleration of schedule — efficiency never overrides safety.
06Nose gear is issued wherever dust or fumes are present.
07Crew are drilled on fire alarm positions, extinguisher points and emergency exits.
08All apparatus runs three-core wiring with proper earthing — no naked wiring, no unguarded drives.
09No eating, alcohol or smoking on site; walkways kept clear of scrap, oil and standing water.
Local Content & Community Relations
Donkem operates a standing local content policy on every contract, not a project-by-project gesture.
01At least 30% of the labour force is recruited from the project host community.
02Unskilled roles — security, cleaning, craft trades — are sourced locally.
03Roads, houses and farmland disturbed by our operations are made good.
04Scholarships and donations are committed to the host community.
05Damage to the community environment during execution is compensated.
06Compensation runs beyond cash — rehabilitation, replacement, repairs, relief supplies and free treatment.
“It is important to work efficiently, but more efficient to work efficiently in safety and in health.”
